D. One Thousand Nine Hundred and thirteen, personally appeared before me, a Clerk Circuit Court in and for the County and State aforesaid Virginia Blanche Simmons a resident of Micanopy, County of Florida, State of Florida, who being duly sworn according to law, makes the following declaration in order to obtain a pension under the provisions of Chapter 6424, Laws of Florida, approved June 4th, 1913. That she is the widow of Benjamin John Simmons who was enlisted under the name of Benjamin J. Simmons on the 2nd day of May 1861, in Company T. W. Wills Company Regiment of the State of Florida and who served until close of war. He drew his pension up until the time of his death in Oct.-1913. His number is #6999. That she was lawfully married to the said Benjamin J. Simmons under the name of Virginia Blanche Brown in the County of Bradford, State of Florida on the 16th day of October, 1879 and that she was not divorced from him and that she has not remarried since his death, which occurred on the 25th day of October, 1913, in the County of Polk, State of Florida. That she is a resident of Marion County, Florida, and has continuously resided in the State of Florida since the 28th day of Feby. 1862. (all my life) That she does not own property, including real estate, personal property, mortgages or other collateral securities, stocks or bonds in this or any other State to exceed in value the sum of Five Thousand Dollars. That the following is a true and correct statement of all property owned by me in this or any other State: Real estate, located at ........................ The estate hasn't been divided yet but my portion will be very small as there are twelve heirs. It won't be over $400.00 any way. Cattle, horses and other live stock ............ $ 185.00 That her Postoffice address is Micanopy, County of Marion, State of Florida.
