She was predeceased by her parents William and Blanche Reinhardt. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Chandler Allen of Destin, Florida, grandsons, Brent Edward Allen and Kyle Garrett Allen of Colorado Springs, Colorado, her former husband, Rubin "Happy" Chandler of Destin, Florida and her former son-in-law, Kirby Edward Allen of San Antonio, Texas. She was a retired employee of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, and a former Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Marines, having served her country in both the Korean War and World War II. She was a former 2nd District Commander of the American Legion of Louisiana, the only woman to have held that position to date, former Commander of the American Legion Post 397, a member of the Marine Corp League and Devil Dogs, and the Sacred Heart Alumni Association. She was active in many volunteer programs associated with both the American Legion and the Marine Corp League throughout her years in New Orleans. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening, August 29th from 7-9:00 PM, at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, La. 70124. On Monday, August 30th, the family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M., followed by a Mass at 10:00 A.M. Burial in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made in her name to Bruner Middle School, 322 Holmes Blvd., Ft.
