BEARDALL, WILLIAM, secretary, treasurer and general manager of the Orange Title Guaranty & Abstract Company of Orlando, is a native of Florida, is a lawyer by profession, was an officer in the great war, and since leaving the army has been actively identified with this company at Orlando. Mr. BEARDALL was born at Sanford, Florida, May 13, 1890, son of WILLIAM and FLORENCE (BONSER) BEARDALL. His parents were natives of England. His father, a civil engineer by profession, came to the United States and to Florida as a representative of the Florida Land and Colonization Company, an English company. He was stationed for some time at Stanford, and in 1899 moved to Orlando. For seven years he was identified with the business now known as the Orange Title Guaranty & Abstract Company. He died at Orlando. WILLIAM BEARDALL was reared at Orlando, attended the public schools, graduated in 1907 from the Porter Military School at Charleston, South Carolina, and followed that with a two years' academic course in the University of Virginia. He studied law in Stetson University at Deland, Florida, graduating L.L.B. in 1913. He was admitted to the bar that year, and soon gained a promising share in the professional work of Orlando and Polk County. In July, 1917, Mr. BEARDALL volunteered and enlisted in the National Guard of the State of Florida, which was later mobilized at Camp Wheeler, Macon, Georgia. He was commissioned a first lieutenant of infantry, and in August, 1918, promoted to captain and transferred to Camp Travis, San Antonio, Texas. He remained there until mustered out in March, 1919, and still has a reserve commission as captain. Since the close of his army service he has been attending to his duties as active manager of the Title Guaranty and Abstract Company. Captain BEARDALL is a member of the American Legion, is a Royal Arch Mason, Knight of Pythias and Elk, and a member of the Country Club. July 13, 1922, he married Miss SHADIE (sic) L. HAMER, of Ashville, North Carolina.
