When you get to Altamonte Springs, US 441 becomes North Orange Blossom Trail AKA NOBT. Continue on through till you get to NEW 429 TOLL Road. You should be 7.5 miles to Sadler Drive, County Road 49. Take a Right at this light. On your left will be the Lake Ola Baptist Church. Once you pass the church you will notice heavy brush area where the road is going to bend to the right and there is a turn off towards the left. The turn on your left is Cemetery Road (Portions Unpaved). Caution at this turn as it is very difficult to see oncoming cars from around the bend with all the overhanging trees in dire need of trimming. Now that you have made the turn, continue around to the left and the road will straighten as you pass properties 1 mile from this point. There will be another curve to the right and then you will see the brick entrance to Evergreen Cemetery on your left. If using Map Quest for driving directions the address is like this [5592-5599] Cemetery Rd, Mount Dora, FL 32757. May 11 1890 Tangerine, recognized as oldest plot in cemetery ****************************************************************************************** Contributor Notes: Improvements by the Zellwood Garden Club 1966. I started out on this Venture searching for my own family, Surnamed HILL. The Name of the Cemetery was supposed to be called TANGERINE CEMETERY. I did a 4-day search on Florida Cemeteries and finally located this, which made reference to Tangerine. When driving to this Cemetery, still not knowing the name, as you get to the last turn in the wooded area there was an Iron Gate that was chained and locked with a sign that read, "Tangerine Cemetery." You couldn't see anything from the road but tall pine trees with thick brush where this pathway disappears. Not wanting to enter private property without permission we continued around the bend since the road had not dead-ended yet and it states that it does. I figured maybe there was another way into the grounds or a caretaker/owner. Traveling around the bend seeking any spot looking like a burial site and seeing nothing but thicket my oldest daughter shouts, "Look Mom!! There's some on the left!!" Confused but excitedly I responded as we all started collecting our gear for the day. I studied across the street, looking for a pathway as during my researching the old trails of Fla show that there was one across the way before so I am continuing to contact locals and search for records pertaining to it. As of yet the map of the ole Trail is all I have and The Sign. Someone must be mowing but that is all. I uncovered completely 2 grown over Military markers that I caught a glimpse of reflecting under the sand. There were a lot of unreadable stones (approx. 20) that looked completely washed away. I have not been to county for plot records. The Cemetery is one car wide and a drive thru circle back to the entrance.
