Rev. William Brazelton Telford of Silver Lake and Rev. W.H. Dodge of Jacksonville organized the Presbyterian Church at Orlando, Florida, consisting of eleven members with their children, as follows: W.C. & Annie E. Stubblefield and their children Mary Lee, Thomas L. and Annie Champe Stubblefield, formerly of Silver Lake, Florida. Mrs. Jacob Summerlin, formerly of Flemington, Georgia. Benjamin & Eliza B. Gould, formerly of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. William A. & Florence C. Milton and their daughters Sue C. and Annie F. Milton, formerly of Lexington, Kentucky. E.M. Clark, formerly of Lexington, Kentucky. C.H. Munger, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky. J.M. Clark, formerly of Henderson, Kentucky. Mrs. Jane Pitts Preston, formerly of Louisiana. Messrs. Gould, Stubblefield, and Judge E.M. Clark were elected Ruling Elders, and Messrs. Munger and Milton, Deacons, and the next day (Sabbath) were duly ordained or installed. March 19th Session met after evening service. Present: Rev. W.B. Telford, Moderator, with Rev. W.H. Dodge and Elders Stubblefield and Gould. The meeting was opened with prayer. Elder B. Gould was chosen permanent Clerk of the Session, and Elders Stubblefield and Clark principal and alternate to represent the Church in the meeting of Presbytery at Gainesville. Closed with prayer.
