WILLIAM ROAN KEMP, who with his late wife owned and operated Kemp's Coliseum, 1640 N. Orange Ave., for 35 years, died Tuesday. Born in Swainsboro, Ga.[ Emanuel Co. ], Kemp came to Orlando 48 years ago and was a member of the First Methodist Church. Mrs. Kemp died Oct. 6. FOR MANY years the Coliseum was a popular place for attractions including name bands, shows, dances and roller skating. Survivors: daughter, Mrs. J. K. Parker and Mrs. J. F. Applebee, both Orlando; step-son, P. H. Pirkle, Orlando; six grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
