Survivors include his wife, Joan Bohne; daughter, Joan Buck of Saudi Arabia; son, Robert of Del Mar, Calif.; stepdaughter, Cheryl Tator of Hemet, Calif.; two stepsons, Daniel Tator of Cullman, Ala., and Steven Tator of Santa Monica, Calif.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Additional Comments: He joined the Navy in 1940 and was an aviator for 22 years. Also served in World War II, the Korean Conflict, and served aboard a flagship in the Persian Gulf as operations officer and navigator for the commander of the Middle East Forces. He retired from military service as a commander in 1962. Funeral services held at the funeral home with the Rev. Walter Peters, pastor of First United Presbyterian church in Westminster officiating.
