DIRECTIONS: Take SR 54 east from Zephyrhills, approximately 1/2 mile before 
SR 35A. Cemetery is on right side of the road.

This survey was taken in August 2001 and from the time I took my original 
survey in 1992, there has been even more damage. Out of the 35 apparent 
burials, 9 are unknown with only cement slabs marking the graves and 2 
have names but no dates.  

Elaine, her Mom, Vivian and I agreed upon looking at the sunken areas and 
far apart spaces, there must be at least that many graves with no markers 
at all.

Here again is a cemetery that could use some members of the community 
working together to record graves. I believe mostly blacks are buried 
here and like so many other cemeteries in Pasco County, if we don't stand
up and make our cemeteries a priority by listing all we can learn from 
Funeral home records and tapping the memory banks of our elders, no one 
is going to do it for us.
