Notes:  St. Bede's Episcopal Memorial Garden is located at 2500 - 16th Street 
North in St. Petersburg, FL. The Church and Memorial Garden was established 
in 1952.  As with most of the Episcopal Church Memorial Gardens, direct 
burial is performed. On July 30, 2001 Pinellas Genealogy Society project 
chair Lesleigh Laite Butts researched the interments at St. Bede’s.  The 
Memorial Plaque inside the church has few names listed and one listing of 
an individual who was interred elsewhere. Therefore, church burial records 
provided the interment information for our canvass report. The burial 
journals available dated from 1968. Father Carson, current Rector of St. 
Bede’s, there were earlier burials, but had no knowledge of where the 
burial journals might be located. It was interesting to note, according to 
church chronical, Father Chester Harris is buried in the garden. However, 
his burial was not located in the burial records. Photographs of the 
Memorial Garden were taken and several obituaries obtained.
