He was born in Norway, Maine, and came here in 1966 from Goshen, Mass. He was a chemical engineer and consultant. He was an Army veteran of World War I and a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Mass. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Dunedin, Hampshire Lodge, Haydenville, Mass., and American Chemical Society. Survivors include two sons, Andrew, Bennington, Vt., and Richard G. Jr., Fayetteville, N.Y.; a sister Sybil Knowland, Newburyport, Mass.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Moss-Feaster Funeral Homes, Serenity Gardens Chapel, Largo.
