Lakeland Ledger


Lillie C. Avant, 74, of 306 Wilder Road, died Friday at Lakeland Regional 
Medical Center.  

Born in Pelham, Georgia, she moved to Lakeland from there 56 years ago.  She
was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She is survived by her husband, Wilbur E. Avant, sons Fredrick W. Avant, and 
George A. Avant, all of Lakeland, daughters JoAnne Criss, Lakeland, and 
LaVerne Carter of Americus, a brother, Luvie Avant, Pelham, Georgia and a 
sister, OraLee Adair, Thomaston, Georgia, 13 grandchildren and 17 great 
grandchildren.

Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.


Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
