D. One Thousand Nine Hundred and twenty-two, personally appeared before me, a notary public in and for the County and State aforesaid Mary K. Appleby a resident of Sanford County of Seminole State of Florida, who being duly sworn according to law, makes the following declaration in order to obtain a pension under the provisions of the General Pension Laws of Florida as amended by Chapter 8400, Acts of 1921. That she is the lawful widow of Peter R. Appleby who enlisted under the name of Pete R. Appleby on the ____ day of April, 1861, in Company 'G' 24th Regiment of the State of South Carolina and who was honorably discharged at close of war (Johnson's surrender North Carolina), 1865, on account of close of war and surrender. That he also served no other service except as stated above-was with Company and regiment stated at organization and was there when it surrendered. That she was lawfully married to the said Peter R. Appleby under the name of Mary K. Larisey in the County of Coleton State of South Carolina on the 18 day of January, 1866, and that she was not divorced from him before nor has she remarried since his death, which occurred on the 3rd day of April, 1910, in the County of Tattnall, State of Georgia except as herein- after stated. No exceptions. That she is a resident of Seminole County, Florida, and has continuously resided in the State of Florida since the ____ day of February 1914. That she was not heretofore granted a pension from the State of Florida under Certificate No. ____. That she is not a pensioner of any other State. Pendarvis of Summerville County of Dorchester State of South Carolina who, being duly sworn according to law, declares that he is the identical person who enlisted at Charleston in the State of South Carolina on the 15th day of ____, in Company C, 24th Regiment of the State of South Carolina, which organization was regularly mustered into the service of the Confederate States of America; that he knows of his own personal knowledge that Peter R. Appleby enlisted in Company "C" 24th Regiment of the State of South Carolina, at St. George, in the State of S. C. on the 1st day of April, 1861; that he served faithfully in the said organization until the ____ day of ____, 1865, when he was HONORABLY DISCHARGED on account of close of war (surrender), at Johnson's surrender, State of North Carolina, 1865 and did not desert the Confederate States service nor take the oath of allegiance to the United States before the close of the War. I know personally of the above stated service, because I served with Peter R.
