The complainant was Jas. A. Haisten, a young man who was at one time employed here in Cobb's store. He makes affidavit to the effect that the accused presented to him to be cashed, a check for $18 drawn by R. C. Rawlinson, and that said check was found to be bogus and a forgery. The prisoner was given hearing Wednesday before Judge Andrews, and was bound over to the circuit court, sitting in September. Sheriff Lennard took Lee to Titusville Wednesday night, to be kept in the Brevard county jail until his trial, or until St. Lucie county builds a jail of its own.
