It contains many homemade stones and slabs. It is neatly mowed and well maintained. It is fenced on 3 sides with the front open. It is reported that a parcel on the back was traded for a parcel on the front in order to have access. There may be some unmarked graves in that old back section which is now in pasture. Location: On U. S. Highway South 471 (known as Market Blvd. in town) about 2 miles from Webster, Sumter County, FL. There are several graves marked only by Funeral Home markers, some of which are not readable. There are signs of unmarked graves, and unreadable stones. The most prominent stone in the cemetery is the 15 foot long pink marble stone, which is about 3 feet tall, for Sir Harold E. Crane and Lady Dolores E. Crane. His obituary states that Admiral Crane was decorated Knight by King Peter of Yugoslavia of the Royal Order of St. John, Sovereign Military Order Temple of Jerusalem and Knights of Malta. He served with the USNR in World War II. Among other notables buried here are: George W. Collins, who is thought to be the grandfather of Florida’s Governor Collins and Rev. N. L. Brown, who developed the Parson Brown orange. Some dates shown were obtained from Purcell’s Funeral Home, Bushnell. *Data on veterans listed on the WPA list was added. AIKENS, Preston, b.
