John P. Gates, 91, of Wildwood. Survivors include his wife of more than 60 
years, Alma; daughter, Deborah Hemenway of Charlotte, N.C.; and two grandsons.

Additional Comments:
He was a retired principal and teacher  for the state of Vermont and was a 
member of United Methodist Church in Wildwood.

Also a member of the Vermont Teachers Association, the Drama Council of 
Vermont and a counselor for juvenile offenders in Windsor County Court in 
Vermont.

He also served in the U.S.Army during World War II.
