George Rushing Sr. 79, of Bushnell. Survivors include his wife, Lillie; son, 
George Jr. of Tampa; daughter Emma Brinson of St. Petersburg an Verdell Graham 
of Bushnell; brothers, Lester and Robert both of Wildwood, and Theodore of 
Jacksonville; sisters, Bessie Brooks, Inez Madison and Mattie Lane, all of 
Jacksonville; fie grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Additional Comments:
He was a retired explosive engineer with St. Catherine Rock Mine and a member 
of St. James Baptist Church.

Funeral services held at South Sumter High School, Bushnell with the Rev Dannie 
McKenzie officiating.

Burial in Florida National Cemetery.
