Survivors include his wife, Margaret; daughters, Brenda Kay Lucas of Oakland and Deana Sue Murphy of Wildwood; brothers, Robert F. of Ocala and Thomas of Seven Rivers, N.C.; sisters, Barbara Summerfield of Gainesville, Eve Jo Poe of Pikesville, Ky., and Garnette Howell and Freeda Miller both of Muncie, Ind.; and four grandchildren. Additional Comments: He was a retired Amtrak conductor and a member of Wahoo Baptist Church, and Kentucky Colonel. He was an Army Airborne veteran of World War II and the Air force in Korea.
