D. One Thousand Nine Hundred and twenty-eight, personally appeared before me a Clerk Circuit Court, in and for the County and State aforesaid Rebecca J. Hunter a resident of Union County of Worthington Springs, State of Florida, who being duly sworn according to law, makes the following declaration in order to obtain a pension under the provisions of the General Pension Laws of Florida. That she is the lawful widow of Hiram Hunter who enlisted under the name of Hiram Hunter (refer to former application). That he also served For proof of husband's war service, refer to Pension No. 5510 on file in the Comptroller's Office. (State here if husband drew a pension, and when.) Yes about 25 or 26 years. That she was lawfully married to the said Hiram Hunter under the name of Rebecca J. Hunter in the County of Bradford State of Florida on the fourth day of January, 1866, and that she was not divorced from him before nor has she remarried since his death, which occurred on the 25th day of December, 1928, in the County of Union, State of Florida except as hereinafter stated. That she is a resident of Union County, Florida, and has continuously resided in the State of Florida since the 7th day of March 1851. That she was heretofore granted a pension from the State of Florida under Certificate No. ____. That she is not a pensioner of any other State. Hunter to her husband, now deceased, Hiram Hunter; and affiant knows that the said Hunters were lawfully married in the year 1866 in Bradford, now Union County, Florida, by Jacob Hires, Justice of the Peace, and affiant was present at and witnessed said marriage. You have only one witness to the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Hunter therefore it will be necessary for her to get affidavit from some friend who has known her for a good many years and knows that she lived with Mr. Hunter as his wife for that period.
