Moore DELAND, Fla. -- Betty Widener Moore, 82, died Dec. 11, 2002. She was active in the St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Eastern Star, United Way and other community projects when she lived in Abingdon. After retiring and moving to Deland she became very active in the Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church, Eastern Star, Garden Club and other activities in Deland. Surviving are her husband, Jesse E. Moore, Manor On The Green Nursing Home, Daytona Beach, Fla.; one daughter, Peggy Moore Blackwell, Abingdon; one son, Robert E. (Bobby) Moore, Shelby, N.C.; two sisters, Rosa W. Sherman, Bristol Tennessee, and Rita Widener Collins, Park City, Utah; three granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
