D. One Thousand Nine Hundred and twenty-four, personally appeared before me, a County Judge in and for the County and State aforesaid Mrs. Charles S. Alligood, a resident of Crawfordville, County of Wakulla, State of Florida, who being duly sworn according to law, makes the following declaration in order to obtain a pension under the provisions of the General Pension Laws of Florida as amended by Chapter 8400, Acts of 1921. That she is the lawful widow of Charles S. Alligood, who enlisted under the name of Charles S. Alligood, on the ____ day of ____, 1861, in Company C 5th Regiment of the State of Florida and who was honorably discharged at Appomattox, Virginia, April, 1865, on account of surrender of General Lee's Army. (State here if husband drew a pension, and when.) For proof of husband's war service, refer to application # 5033 on file in Comptroller's office. That she was lawfully married to the said Charles S. Alligood under the name of Julia Victoria Williams, in the County of Leon State of Florida on the 27th day of June, A. D. 1878 and that she was not divorced from him before nor has she remarried since his death, which occurred on the 2nd day of April, 1924, in the County of Wakulla, State of Florida except as hereinafter stated. That she is a resident of Wakulla County, Florida, and has continuously resided in the State of Florida since the 6th day of July A. D. 1878. that she has not been heretofore granted a pension from the State of Florida under Certificate No. ____. That she is not a pensioner of any other State. Mrs. Chas S. D. 1924. ****************************************************************************************** Report of County Commissioners We, the undersigned, County Commissioners in and for the County of Wakulla, Florida, do hereby report that at a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners held this day, the foregoing application of Mrs. C. S. Alligood for a pension under the Laws of Florida, was investigated by us; that we are satisfied that the applicant has been a bona fide citizen of the State of Florida for eight year just preceding the date of this application, and that the representation made in the petition and affidavits are true, and that a pension should be granted the applicant. Alligood, Non Compos Mentis Know All Men By These Presents, That we, Orion C. Parker, Jr. principal, and the United States Fidelity and Casualty Company of Balimore, [sic] Maryland, surety, are held and firmly bound unto Fred P. Cone, Governor of the State of Florida, and his successors in office, in the penal sum of Four Thousand ($4,000.00) Dollars, lawful money of the United States of America, for the payment whereof well and truly to be made we bind ourselves, our and every of our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated this 25th day of October, A. D. 1940. Whereas the above bounden Orion C. Parker, Jr., has applied to the county Judge of said County of Wakulla, to be appointed Guardian of the estate of Victoria W. Alligood, non Compos Mentis, and whereas the Judge of said Court having approved said application, Now the condition of the above obligation is such, that if the said Orion C. Parker, Jr., above bounden, shall, as Guardian of said incompetent, faithfully preserve the estate of said incompetent, and shall annually, on or before the first day of June, and at all times when thereunto required during the continuance of said guardianship, render to and file in said Court an inventory of said incompetent estate, its profits and disbursements, and all the rest and residue of the goods, chattels and credits which shall be found remaining upon the said Guardian's account, the same being first examined and allowed by said Court, shall deliver and pay to such person or persons respectively, as the said Court by its order and decree shall appoint and direct; then this obligation to be void and of no effect - otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. Alligood, Non Compos Mentis By The Judge Of Said court, To All To Whom These Presents Shall Come, Greeting: Whereas, O. C. Parker, Jr. hath applied to the Judge of the County Judge's Court of said County of Wakulla to be appointed Guardian of the estate of Victoria W. Alligood, Non Compos Mentis, which said Victoria W. Alligood is upon due proof now before the Court, adjudged to be Non Compos Mentis, and it appearing to the Judge of said Court that said Victoria W. Alligood is totally unable to attend to the ordinary affairs of her estate and is now in need of hospitalization which she cannot continue to receive without the appointment of a guardian and it also appearing to the Judge of said Court that said O. C. Parker, Jr. is a fit and proper person to receive said appointment, and the said O. C. Parker, Jr. having in due form of law taken the oath and performed all other acts necessary to his just qualification as such Guardian: Now, therefore, Know Ye, that I, A. L. Porter County Judge in and for the County aforesaid, by virtue of the power and authority by law in me vested, do hereby declare the said O. C. Parker, Jr. duly qualified under and by virtue of the laws of said State, to act as Guardian of said estate of the said Victoria W. Alligood and hath power by virtue of these presents, to have the care, custody and control of said incompetent and duly entitled to take possession of and to have and to hold for the benefit of said incompetent, all and singular the goods, chattels, credits and estate of said incompetent, as shall be in accordance with law, during the legal continuance of said guardianship, until the said incompetent shall arrive at the age of twenty-one years, or until the said guardianship shall be duly revoked according to law.
