N. of the city of DeFuniak Springs, Walton County FL, and comprises approximately eight acres. We counted 89 graves in the cemetery. This number includes one possible grave sink and one grave immediately south of the Garland Walden plot which has a metal funeral home marker and is unreadable. The cemetery is on privately-owned property. It is our intention to publish pictures of these graves, which will be compiled into a booklet with the names and map with these numbers, and will be available at local libraries in the Walton County, Florida area in 1999. This survey was completed on October 17, 1998. Surveyors were Leah Ann Wilkerson, Peggy Walden Martin, Frank Gene Martin, Patrick Schuyler Martin and Tim Walden. Pictures will be taken by Mary Ellen Wexler. Every attempt was made to be true to inscriptions as they appear, with these exceptions: some names appear in all capital letters, but are presented here as capitol and lower case; where surnames appear here in parentheses, it indicates that the surname appeared only once, usually at the top of the headstone, with the given names separate; and the quotes around the rememberance verses are the author’s. *indicates double or triple headstone 1.
