Turn left onto Fanning Branch Road, go to end of pavement (approx. 2.0 miles). Turn right (west) on Holmes Valley Road and go 0.5 mile. There is a communications tower on the south side of the road and the cemetery is about 200 feed east of the tower, The entire property is fenced. A walk through gate is provided for access. Note: The cemetery has not been maintained for many years and trees, underbrush, weeds, etc. are present. I found concrete and / or limestone markers for at least nine graves not identified. There are pieces of broken concrete scattered about that probably came from grave markers also. The cemetery is located in Township 2 north, Range 15 West, Section 21. The only three readable markers I found are listed below. Surveyed: January 2002 CRAVEY, Mrs. Jane, b. 1818 d. 1877 JEFFRIES, Mrs. Tolithey Cumi, b. 1840 d. 1877 HEWITT, Joseph B., b. Oct 1844 d. Dec 1922, "CO A 1 FLA CAV CSA" I have been told there were graves on the north side of the road also but I did not find any.
