A few miles south of Chipley, Florida, there are several small communities
which were settled between 1835 and 1850.  The Orange Hill Cemetery was
started during this time by these early settlers.  Many of their
descendants still live in this section.  First there was a small log
building which was used as a school.  Later the school was moved and a
Methodist Church was built on this location.  The Cemetery lies on the
Church grounds, to the east of the Church building.  Some of the earlier
families who settled this region were:  Bush, Gilbert, Horne and Rooks.
