All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Ann Parkinson pas47pap@yahoo.com August 2, 2005, 4:43 pm 3rd Dis No 37 Written: 1868 Photocopy From the Appling County Court House Land Records This Indenture made this 14th day of March, Eighteen Hundred and sixty eight between Benjamin Blitch of the State and County aforesaid and O T Blitch and L E Blitch of the same place of the other part, WITNESSETH, that the said Benjamin Blitch for and in consideration of the sum of Ten Dollars, cash in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which he has and bears to his sons hath given granted and conveyed and doth by these presents give, grant, bargain, sell and convey to the said Bargain and by the said Barhain shall begin, by these presents grant, bargain se and convey to the said bargain sell and convey to the said Benjamin his heirs and assigns the said O T Blitch and L E Blitch their heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land, situate lying and being in the Third District of said County aforesaid and agreeable to original survey known by the Number thirty seven (37) containing four hundred and ninety acres more or less and also all that part of lot of land number Sixty eight (68) in the third District in the county aforesaid lying and being on the County South East side of a branch known by the name of Big Tiger. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD said tract or parcel of land to them the said O T Blitch and L E Blitch their heirs and assigns together with all and sigular the rights members and apprutenance to the same in any manner belonging to their own proper use, benefit and behoof forever in FEE SIMPLE. CLERK Additional Comments: transcription of a land transaction document of Rev Benjamin Blitch (17 Nov 1811 - 22 Apr 1887)selling land to O T Blitch and L E Blitch. My records show Obediah Thomas was a son (15 Sep 1844 - May 1931). He also had a son named Leonidas Wyley (30 Dec 1850 - aft 1900) but the initials do not match exactly. The document says they are his sons.
