About eleven years that I have to be [helped] Value of property: about $20 [tax] Appling county, returned nothing but have & hold By the help of Friends and what little I could do. About $100. I ---- about one third Farming I received about $40 per year. Family: wife and three chilren. have no homestead No pension 21st Feb James M. Taylor (x) his mark John W. ?, ordinary Statement James M. Taylor of Appling County resided in said state continuously ever since 1832; he is 69 years old and by occupation a farmer that he enlisted in the military service of the Confederate States and served a term of 3 years in company 4th Reg of GA Cavalry 8th January 19 ? For Indigent Widows Heretofore Allowed Pensions Viney Taylor, resident of Appling, all my life. Widow of James M. Taylor who was a soldier in company F 48 ? Regiment, Georgia. Enlisted April a862, and served in the Army up to April 1865. Died on 2nd February 1902. Died at home in Appling Co Co February 2, 1902 of disease Became his wife in 1854. I have been allowed an indigent pension as a resident of Appling County under Act of 1900. Viney (x) Taylor (her mark) 9 Jan 1905 A.M. Crosby, Ordinary Widow's Affidavit Mrs. Viney Taylor, widow of James M. Taylor, county of Appling married 1853, remained his wife until 2nd Feb 1862 at which time he died. He was resident of Appling County at time of death, and was on the indigent pension roll of State of Georgia, having been allowed a pension of $60 per annum on account of being a soldier in company F 47th Regiment, Georgia volunteers.
