She was 85. Mrs. Crook was born November 4, 1912, in Cottonwood, AL, the daughter of Hilton and Ettie Barefield. She was a homemaker and farmer. Mrs. Crook had lived in Irwin County for the past 20 years, moving here from Ame..ricus, where she h.ad lived for many years. She attended Bigl Creek Baptist Church of Irwin County. Mrs. Crook was preceded in death by her first husband Cecil R. Larkin and her second husband, John David Crook. Survivors include four sons,Roy Larkin of Byron, Eugene Larkin of Cent.erville, ,Earl Larkin of Baconton and Bobby Larkin of Americus; three daughters, Christine Hurts of Byron, Ruth Melton of Irwin County and Polly Parham of Chiefland, FL; 33 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren. Services were held at Big Creek Baptist Church of Irwin County on Tuesday, September 29 at 11 am with Rev. Reeves officiating. Pallbearers were Eugene Larkin,Roy Larkin, Earl Larkin, Bobby Larkin, Ronnie Grant and Kirk Gentry. Interment was held at Ellaville Cemetery. Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
