Ms. Moreland was born December 11, 1919 in Irwin County, the daughter of Harry and Georgia Moreland, Survivors include two sisters, Lady B. Glover and Iona Murrell, both of Ocilla; one step-sister, Melvine Bryant of Ocilla; three brothers, Emory Moreland of Brunswick, Nathaniel Moreland of Ocilla, and Roosevelt Moreland of Jacksonville, FL; an adopted daughter/niece, Patricia Eunice of Jacksonville, FL; one granddaughter, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 11, 1998 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Ocilla with Rev. Charlie Sneed officiating. Edna Dunbar was the soloist. Pallbearers were Eddie Murrell Jr., Edward Murrell, Ernest Murrell, Carlos Glover, Curtis Freeman, and Charles Glover. Honorary pallbearers were Gary Murrell, Frank Moreland, Arzell Glover, Richard Lee Haynes, Gerald Armstrong, and Eric Murrell. Interment was in Ocilla City Cemetery
