Name:               Nora Carter Johnson

Nora Carter was born June 1873.  She was the illegitimate daughter of Rachel 
Carter and William Johnson.  William later adopted Nora.  Rachel Carter was the 
daughter of John J. Carter and Sarah Herndon.  Nora was my great-grandmother. 
  
Nora first married William Mack Mock on 13 June 1886 at the of 13.  They had 
the following children:  William Edgar, Reuben, Burnice Emmett ( my 
grandfather ), Thomas Jefferson, Emmett M., Clinton, Mary B, Minnie Lee, and 
Wilson Mock.   On 12 January 1907 William Mack Mock died.  Nora later married a 
Thomas Hunter.  There were no children and Thomas died very early in the 
marriage.  Nora married again on 8 April 1908 to William R. "Bill" Stone and 
had one daughter Dealdia Stone "Aunt Dee".  Nora died 22 December 1950.
