Executed the within License by Joining together in the Holy State of Matrimony Mr. WILLIAM ALLMAN & Miss MARY DIAL the 30 January 1841. Recorded & examined the 26th day June 1841. By John M.P. Goodbread Dept Clk. Additional Comments: This William Allman's first wife was Margaret Carter of Appling Co., Ga. (they had 4 children), 2nd wife was Mary Dial and his third marriage was to Miss Sarah Yaun of Appling Co., Ga. NOTE**** The marriages for Camden Co., Ga. on the internet shows him as William Altman. Original marriage record shows ALLMAN. The 1850 Appling Co., Ga. census shows him as ALLMAN also. His Indian War Pension records show him as ALMAN. Mary "Pollie" Dial died 11 months after their marriage and they had no children. Soon after in 1842 he married Miss Sarah Yaun. NOTE*** I have noticed many people have this Sarah Yaun as being born in 1794, but she was born abt. 1814-1817. On the 1850 Appling Co., Ga. census if you look very carefully you can tell it shows her being 36 not 56 years old. Sarah Yaun Allman had several children with William Allman. Her last child was born in 1858. If going by 1797 as a birth date then her last child would have been born when she was 61. This was almost impossible, even back then. Sarah lived until 1902 and she died in Osceola Co., Fl. William ALLMAN died in Charlton Co., Ga. between 1865-1869 and is buried there. Sarah never remarried. There was another Sarah Yaun who married a Sampson Altman who was b. abt. 1800 and she went to Hillsborough Co., Fl. (Shown there in 1860.)
