Atkinson County Citizen - March 23, 2006
 Mr. Berlin "Woody" Allen, age 81 of Pearson, GA passed away Sunday evening, 
March 12, 2006 at his home following an extended illness.
 A native of Telfair County, GA, Mr. Allen was born March 6, 1925, son of 
Carlto Maryland and Maggie Mims Allen. Mr. Allen had made his home in Tamps, FL 
before moving to Pearson, GA 11 years ago. He was a retired insulation cutter 
with Tampa Armament Works and attended Westgate Baptist Church in Tampa, FL.
 Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Allen of Pearson, GA; four sons, Carl Allen 
of Tampa, Fl, Mike Allen of Wesley Chapel, FL, Thomas Allen and wife Andrea of 
Tarpon Springs, FL, Joseph Allen of Wesley Chapel, FL; daughter Rebecca Allen 
of Zephyrhills, FL; brother, Tom Allen of Pearson, GA; nine grandchildren, two 
great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
 Funeral services for Mr. Allen were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2006 
with Rev. Teddy Burch officiating. Special musical selections included "We 
Shall Meet," "When I Traveled My Last Mile," and "I Want Us To Be Together In 
Heaven" rendered by the Sunnyside Church Ladies with Margaret Williams 
accompanying at the piano. Soft music for the prelude and postlude was provided 
by Margaret Williams, pianist. The interment followed in Sunnyside Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Russell Hulbert, Carl Allen, Mike Allen, 
Thomas Allen, Joseph Allen, Chris Fritcher.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
