Atkinson County Citizen - November 8, 2007
 Mrs. Jean Claire Vickers Lott Bennefield, age 75, of Douglas, GA passed away 
on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas.
  Mrs. Bennefield, a native of Irwin Co., GA was born November 19, 1931. She is 
the daughter of the late Jacob Ernest Vickers. She is the widow of the late Van 
Buren Bennefield. One son, Jerry Warren Lott preceded her in death.
  Survivors include: daughter, Linda (Warren) Paulk, Willacoochee, GA; Sons, 
Roy Kenneth Lott and Ernest Darryl Lott of Douglas, GA; Mother, Margaret Irene 
Warren of Douglas, GA: Sisters, Joan Kibbey of Douglas, GA and Lillie Topper of 
Albany, GA; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
  Funeral services were held for Mrs. Bennefield Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, 2 p.m. 
at the Covenant Christian Church with Rev. Gregory Pope and Rev. Glenn Taylor 
officiating. The Praise and Worship Team sang "I Can Only Imagine." 
  Burial followed in the New Hope Church Cemetery near Ambrose, GA.
  Active pallbearers were: Russell Paulk, Jason Lott, Morgan Lott, Warren Lott, 
Darren Lott and Michael Lott.
  Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
