Atkinson County Citizen - November 2004
 Mr. William Ralph Burch, age 73 of Axson, GA passed away Monday, November 8th, 
2004 at Satilla Regional Medical Center in Waycross, GA following an extended 
illness.

 A native of Coffee County, Mr. Burch was born December 23, 1930 son of William 
and Mariah Corbitt Burch. He was a retired brick mason and member of Hargraves 
Chapel New Congregational Methodist Church.

 Survivors include 3 sons, Ralphford Lee Burch of Axson, GA, Byron Vincent 
Burch and wife Phoebe of Axson, GA, Williams Ralph Burch, Jr. and wife Stacy of 
Axson, GA; daughter Robin Gale Burch of Axson, GA; 4 brothers, Rev. Melvin 
Burch of Axson, GA, Rev. Raymond Burch of Axson, GA, Bill Burch of 
Jacksonville, FL, Williams (Docky) Burch, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; 3 sisters, 
Nancy White of Axson, GA, May Ricketts of Jacksonville, FL, Leona Harrell of 
Jacksonville, FL; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and 
nephews also survive.

 Funeral services for Mr. Burch were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 
2004 at Hargraves Chapel Church with Rev. Melvin Burch and Rev. Clayton Davis 
officiating. Special musical selections included "Calvary" "Where The Hearts 
Never Break Again" and "Mama" rendered by Walter Gilbert playing the harmony 
harp. Soft music for the prelude and postlude was provided by Walter Gilbert. 
The interment followed in Axson Cemetery.

 Serving as active pallbearers were Randall White, Jeffrey White, Gilberto 
Ramirez, John Davis, Jeremy Chaney and Billy Miller.

 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
