Atkinson County Citizen - March 26, 2015
   Mrs. Eva Esther Cardoza, age 59, of Pearson, GA. passed away Saturday, March 
14, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, GA. following a brief illness.
 A native of San German, Puerto Rico, Mrs. was born April 25, 1955, daughter of 
Mr. and Mrs. Miseal and Irma Acosta Morales. She was a homemaker and member of 
The International Empowerment Center.
 Survivors include, Lazaro Cardoza, Sr. of Pearson; two sons, Ramiro Padilla of 
Pearson, and Lazaro Cardoza, Jr. of Douglas; four daughters, Anna L. Sosa of 
Douglas, Myrna Herrera of Atlanta, Eva Contreras of Pearson, and Angelina 
Cardoza of Pearson; two brothers, Jose Angel Acosta and Felix Morales of 
Florida; two sisters, Carman Tello of Florida, and Sylvia Morales of Douglas; 17 
grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other 
relatives also survive.
 Funeral service for Mrs. Cardoza were held at 11 a.m. Friday at Relihan Funeral 
Home in Pearson, GA. with Rev. Frank Bussey officiating. Special musical 
selection included, “Blessed Assurance” rendered acappella by soloist, Sonya 
Cardoza.
 Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, GA. was in charge of the arrangements.
