Atkinson County Citizen - May 2004
 Mr. Alberto Castillo, age 33 of Axson, GA, died on Sunday, May 16, 2004 as a 
result of a drowning accident in Atkinson Co., GA.

 Mr. Castillo, a native of Mexico was born August 7, 1970, son of Venancio and 
Felisa Chavez Castillo. He was employed with a poultry processing plant.

 Survivors included his wife, Victoria Cruz Castillo of Axson; daughters, Laura 
Castillo and Ester Castillo, both of Axson, GA, parents, Venancio Castillo and 
Felisa Chavez of Mexico..

 Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 23, 2004 at 4 p.m. at the Pearson 
Elementary School with Rev. Margarito Perez officiating.

 Special music was presented by Abimael Castillo and Rev. Victor Mendoza. 
Burial followed in the Stokesville Church Cemetery in Atkinson Co., GA.

 Pallbearers were Jose Castillo, Jacinto Castillo, Manuel Velazquez, Simon 
Gainzar, Maleno Loreto, Daniel Francisco.

 Sims Funeral Home of Douglas was in charge of arrangements.
