Mrs. Davis, a native of Atkinson County, GA was born August 7, 1922, daughter of the late Warren William & Rhoda Marie Bowen Reliford. She was a homemaker and the widow of the late James Lawton Davis. Her church membership was the Douglas Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Sons, Stafford Ray Davis and Joseph Davis preceded her in death. Survivors include son, James Willard (Ammie) Davis Pearson, GA; daughters, Mary Jacqueline (Charles) Rowell Waynesville, GA, Nayomie (Herman) McGee and Vivian Vee (Ron) Nailing Douglas, GA, Jimmie Loraine (Marvin) Tiller, Wrens, GA, son-in-law Jack Hollinger, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral service were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2006, at Sims Funeral Home Chapel in Douglas, GA with Elder Timothy Fussell officiating. Soloist, Marvin Tiller sang, "Victory In Jesus" and a special taped selection of "Go Rest High On That Mountain" was provided. Burial followed in the Royals Cemetery in Atkinson County, GA. Active pallbearers were Cory Godfrey, Bruce Howard, Lee Hollinger, James Harrell, Jason Hollinger, Jesse Davis, Christopher Holley. Honorary pallbearers, Ricky Burch, Gene Burch, Coty Godfrey.
