Harrell Davis, age 69 of Willacoochee, GA passed away Friday evening, October 20, 2006 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, GA following a short illness. Mrs. Davis was born in Coffee County, April 2, 1937, daughter of Tom and Estelle Hursey Wilson. A long time resident of Atkinson County, she was a homemaker and attended the Willacoochee Church of God. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by husband, Willie O. Harrell, Sr., 2 sons, Michael Harrell and Jimmie Harrell and daughter, Wanda Jean Harrell. Survivors include her husband, Harold Davis of Willacoochee, FA: two sons, Willie O. Harrell, Jr. and wife Mary Lou of Pearson, GA and Kenneth Harrell and wife Regina of Pearson, GA; four brothers, Steve Wilson of Waycross, GA, Darrell Wilson of Waycross, GA, Earl Gene Wilson of Brunswick, GA, and Carlis Wilson of Douglas, GA; three sisters, Shirley Prittchard of Douglas, GA, Dorlis Porter of Douglas, GA, and Margie Harrell of Pearson, GA, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Davis were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2006 at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Deloach officiating. Special musical selections included, "I'll Fly Away" and "Go Rest High On That Mountain" rendered by Mattie Courdle, Eugene Courdle and James Larry Courdle with accompaniment by Eugene Courdle on the guitar and Larry Courdle on the bass guitar. Soft music for the prelude and postlude was provided by Eugene Courdle and Larry Courdle. The interment followed in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were Nathan Harrell, Josh Gurley, Myles Corbitt, Dennis Drott, Bing Hamilton, Allen Hamilton. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
