Atkinson County Citizen - September 13, 2007
 Mr. Tommy Davis, age 61, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2007 at South 
Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, GA after following a brief illness.
 Mr. Davis was born August 26, 1946 in Coffee County to Louise Palmer Putnam 
Douglas and the late Thomas E. Davis, Sr. He was a member of the DuPont Full 
Gospel Mission.
 Survivors other than his mother include, wife, Ruby Herrin Davis of 
Homerville; sister, Sherry Davis of Douglas; half brother, Dennis Adams of 
Douglas; four nieces April Mobley of Douglas, Andrea Cudd of Douglas, Angela 
Mizell and Daphne Pittman both of Homerville; several other relatives.
 Services for Mr. Davis were held Sunday, September 9, 2007 at 2 p.m. from the 
DuPont Full Gospel Mission. Officiating was Rev. Sarah Desse and Rev. Johnny 
Westmoreland. Interment was held at Lang Memorial Cemetery.
 Active pallbearers were Howard Slocomb, Bill Murray, H.L. Thompson, Johnny 
Spivey, Darrell Chauncey, Elton Griffis, Honorary pallbearers were members of 
the DePont Full Gospel Mission.
 Mrs. Sarah Desse sang "I Want to Stroll Over Heaven" and Danny Holmes sang "Go 
Rest High on that Mountain.:
 Rountree Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangement for Mr. Tommy Davis.
