A native of Kissimmee, FL, Ms. D Diaz was born on May 24, 1988. Ms. Diaz had attended school in Atkinson County t through her junior year, at which point she moved to Dunnellon, FL and g graduated from Dunnellon High School in 2006. After graduation Ms. Diaz a attended college at Central Community College in Ocala, FL where she received h her Associates Degree and was currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree at the U University of North Florida. Delia S. Diaz leaves behind many friends and loved o ones in Atkinson County and North Florida. Survivors include sisters, Amanda Diaz Clement and husband Stan of Willacoochee, GA, Candace Diaz and finance Cale Spivey of Axson, GA, Sandra Diaz of Ocala, FL; parents, Martin, Sr and Lori Diaz of Axson, GA and Rebecca Malagon of Ocala, FL. Other family members, Marissa Molina of Pearson, GA, Martin Diaz, Jr of Axson, GA, Benjamin Diaz of Axson, GA, Marcus Diaz of Axson, GA, Maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Gayle Bateman and wife Barbara o of Marshville, MO; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Ms. Diaz were held for Ms. Diaz were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Millwood Baptist Church with Rev. Edward Mathews officiating. Special musical selections included “One More Day" and and “Slipped Away” presented by CD. The interment followed in the Millwood Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were Stan Clement, Jr., Cale Spives, E.J. Heath, Jo Joe Giquinto, Martin Diaz, Jr., Benjamin Diaz. Reliahn Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
