Atkinson County Citizen - November 9, 2006
 Mrs. Jane Agnes Dyess, 82, of Palatka, FL, died Friday, September 29, 2006 at 
the Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, Palatka following an extended illness.
 A native of Atkinson County, Mrs. Dyess was born in Jacksonville, GA on 
February 6, 1924. The daughter of the late Archie Thomas Miller and Mary Bell 
Steverson Miller. She lived in Willacoochee before moving to Palatka, FL in 
1957. She worked at Central States in Palatka for 32 years, retiring in 1987. 
Mrs. Dyess was a member of the First Baptist Church of Palatka.
 Mrs. Dyess was preceded in death by her husbands, Edward Noles and Lorenzo D. 
Dyess, son, Thomas Wayne (Tommy) Miller; three brothers, Ike D. Miller, John A. 
Miller and Archie Miller, Jr.; sister, Lena Guess.
 Survivors include son, Herman Noles and wife Linda of Bostwick, FL; sisters, 
Hazel Davis of Willacoochee, GA, Shirley (Hilsman) Sumner of Ellington, GA; 
four grandchildren, Dooley Miller and Kristy Miller of Brunswick, GA. William 
Noles and Joyce Ann Stevens of Palatka, FL; five great grandchildren, Carleigh 
Lundy of Brunswick, GA; Raelyn Noles, Ryan Noles, Jessica Stevens and Hannah 
Stevens of Palatka, FL.
 Funeral services for Mrs. Dyess were held at 3 p.m. on October 2, 2006 at the 
chapel of Masters Funeral Home in Palatka, FL with Brother Dustin Driggers 
officiating. Special music selections were provided by Mrs. Dustin Driggers. 
The interment followed in Palatka Memorial Gardens in Palatka, FL.
 Masters Funeral Home of Palatka, FL was in charge of arrangements.
