Atkinson County Citizen - October 22, 2009
Mrs. Tensie H. Floyd age 77 of Willacoochee, GA, passed away Friday, October 
16, 2009 at Irwin County Hospital in Ocilla, GA following a short illness. 
 A native of Berrien County, Mrs. Floyd was born February 3, 1932 daughter of 
M.L. and Hattie Lou McKoone Davis. She worked in Nursing for many years as a 
ward clerk having retired from Coffee Regional Medical Center. She then went 
back to work at Irwin County Hospital as a ward clerk where she was currently 
employed. Her church member was at Willacoochee First Baptist Church.
 Survivors include, Husband, Joel A. Floyd of Willacoochee, GA, Daughter, 
Sherry Denise Music and husband Ronald of Willacoochee, GA, 3 sons, John 
Wesley Floyd and wife Sandy of Columbus, GA, Joe Ashley Floyd and wife Nancy 
of Winder, GA, David Neal Floyd and wife Deidra of Willacoochee, GA. 2 
brothers, Charlie Davis of Jacksonville, FL, Frank Davis of Cary, NC, Sister, 
Edna Campbell of Tuscaloosa, AL, 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 
several nieces and nephews also survive. 
 Funeral services for Mrs. Floyd were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2009 
at the Willacoochee First Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Huffstuttler and Rev. 
John McMillan officiating.
 The Willacoochee First Baptist Church choir with Bonnie Kunberger 
accompanying at the piano presented special musical selections "The Old Rugged 
Cross" and "In The Garden." Bonnie Kunberger pianist provided soft music for 
the Prelude and the Postlude.
 The interment followed in the Willacoochee City Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were. Jimmy Knowles, Neal Floyd, Joey Floyd, 
Ashley Floyd, Jonathan Floyd and Patrick Floyd.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of arrangements.
