Mr. Fulmer was born October 21, 1938, son of Chilton Lee and Vernice Farmer Fulmer. He was a law enforcement retiree and a U.S. Army Veteran. A son, Timothy Fulmer, preceded Mr. Fulmer in death. Survivors include wife, Lucy Jane Adams Fulmer, of Douglasville, GA; son, Paul Fulmer and wife Karen of Cleveland, TN; brother, Chilton Lee, Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and sister, Vivian Romine of Greenville, GA; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Fulmer were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2006 at the Axson Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Melvin Burch officiating. Special musical selections included, "Amazing Grace" and "Go Rest High on That Mountain" rendered by Huey Bennett, Deloris Bennett and Mary Ann Zorn with Huey Bennett accompanying on the guitar. Soft music for the prelude and postlude was provided by Mrs. Luvelle Mullis, pianist. Interment followed in Axson Cemetery with Military Honors rendered at the graveside by an Honor Guard Contingent from Ft. Stewart, GA. Serving as active pallbearers were Spence Adams, Carl Bennett, Larry Garrett, Steve Adams, Denzel Adams, D. J. Leavens. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
