She was born Dec. 20, 1917 in Berrien Co. to the late Ben and Mamie Tucker Rowe. She was a Homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Ray City. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Alvin J. “Soda” Spurlock, Mack Touchton and William A. “Bill” Garner. She loved to collect Santa Clauses, fish, grow African violets, ride in her golf cart, play cards with her great-grandchildren, participate in the Senior Citizens Church trips and she made the very best biscuits and pound cakes. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Louise Nash of Ray City; two step daughters, Elizabeth Skinner, Ray City, Hazel Forte, Barney; three step sons, Jimmy Carroll Garner, Ray City, Elliott Garner, Ray City, Wendell Garner, Orlando, Fla.; two brothers, Leonard (Velma) Matthews, Tifton, J.B. (Margaret) Rowe, Barney; grandchildren, Johnny (Brenda) Nash, Wayne (Tammy) Nash, Randy Nash, Jimmy (Dora) Nash, Travis (Jeri) Nash; great grandchildren, participate in the Senior Citizens Church trips and she made the v very best biscuits and pound cakes. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Dempsey Rowe, Irvin Rowe a and Waldo Rowe. Funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010 at Ray City First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Evans Patten and the Rev. Lee Graham officiating. Interment will be held in Willacoochee City Cemetery. Visitation will be held this evening from 7-9 p.m. Pallbearers were Austin Nash, Jason Nash, Dillon Nash, Bill Tyson, Morgan Hendley Hendley, Kevin Letchworth.
