A native of Atkinson County, Mrs. Garrett was born August 13, 1938, daughter of Henry and Vera Walden Musgrove. Formerly of Millwood, GA. she had made her home in Axson for the past two years. She was a retired seamstress who had worked for Sports Wear of Waycross and Wright Wear of Pearson. She had previously attended Mt. Green Church of God of Prophecy and the Millwood Church of God. Mrs Garrett was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Thomas Garrett, three brother, three brothers, Roy Musgrove, Woodfin Musgrove and Cecil Musgrove and two sisters, Henry Faye Musgrove and Margaret Mizell. Survivors include three sons, Glen Garrett and wife Susan of Axson, GA, Larry Garrett and wife Denise of Pearson, GA and Thomas Garrett and wife Deborah of Millwood, GA; three brothers, Tom Musgrove of Rome, GA, Edwin Musgrove of Mill..wood, GA and Joe Musgrove of Douglas, GA and sister, Vonnell Miell of Douglas, GA; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Garrett were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at Mt. Green Church of God of Prophecy in Millwood, GA. with Rev. Clayton Davis, Rev. Robert Burns, and Rev. Bobby Musgrove officiating. Special musical selections included, "I'll Fly Away" and "Where Angels Fear to Tread," rendered by the Musgrove family with Judy Leverette accompanying at the piano, Soft music for the prelude and postlude was provided by Judy Leverett pianist. The interment followed in the Mt. Green Cemetery in Millwood, GA. Serving as active pallbearers were Ricky Musgrove, Joshua Green, Brandon Garrett, Shawn Bennett, Freddie Musgrove, D.J. Leavens.
