 Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Pittman Geiger, 72, were held at 10 a.m. on 
Wednesday, March 4, 2009 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral 
Home, 4410 University Boulevard, South with Rev. Michael W. Shoda officiating. 
Burial was at Oaklawn Cemetery. Mrs. Geiger was born on August 23, 1936 in 
Argyle, GA and she passed away, surrounded by her family on March 2, 2009 in 
Jacksonville. Mrs. Geiger graduated from Pearson High School in Pearson, GA and 
then she moved to Jacksonville where she started her family and 
career. "Dottie" loved to fish, spend time outdoors, and she especially loved 
time spent with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley R. 
Geiger; her parents, Henry and Winnie Pittman; a daughter, Susan C. Geiger of 
Naylor, GA; son Keith Geiger (Melissa); sister, Beulah P. Netties of 
Homerville, GA; two brothers, Henry C. Pittman (Linda) of Green Cove Springs, 
FL and Billy J. Pittman (Susan); two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 
numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and many other family 
and friends.
