 Mrs. Roberta "Bobbie" Giddens, age 68, of North Point, FL, formerly of Ft. 
Lauderdale passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Port Charlotte Hospice House 
in Port Charles, FL following a short illness.
 A native of Manhattan, NY, Mrs. Giddens was born September 2, 1939, daughter 
of Marjorie Dean. After coming to Miami, FL in 1951, Bobbie and her husband, 
Curtis, relocated to North Point, FL in 1988, Bobbie retired in February of 
2007 after 17 years with State Farm Insurance Company in Englewood, FL. she was 
a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Port Charlotte. She was a loving wife, 
mother, grandmother and friend.
 Survivors include husband, Curtis Giddens of North Point, FL, 2 sons, Stan 
Giddens and wife Cindy of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Steve Giddens of Port Charlotte, 
FL, daughter, Stephene Cika and husband Ronald of Weston, FL. brother, Ronald 
Lowe and wife Theresa of Georgia, 2 sisters, Cheryl Ervin of Florida, Nola 
Heilman and husband Bruce of New York, grandchildren, Devin and Sara Giddens, 
Joshua Cika, step grandchildren, Alex, Ashley and Michelle Cika, several nieces 
and nephews also survive.
 Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Giddens were held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, 
March 24, 2008 at Antioch Cemetery near Pearson, GA with Rev. Lonnie Spikes 
officiating. Special musical selections included "In His Arms I Am Not Afraid" 
and "Going Home" rendered by the Sweetwater Creek Singers.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Hampton Giddens, James Gore Jr., Macky 
White, Jessie Edward Tanner, Zane Nugent, Gerald Giddens.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
