 Mr. Johnnie Gilbert age 75 of Homerville, GA passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2
2011 at Satilla Regional Medical Center in Waycross, GA following a short i
illness.
 A native of Nicholls, GA, Mr. Gilbert was born on October 7, 1935, son of 
Walter Joe Sr. and Andelia Jordan Gilbert. He retired from the US Army after 22 y
years of service and was a member of Harvest Time Church of God in Homerville, G
GA.
 Survivors include wife, Jeanne Gilbert of Homerville, GA; step sons, Timmy Lee 
of Waycross, GA, Greg Lee of Douglas, GA; step daughters, Carla Lee of Parma, 
OH, Sandy Aldridge of Waycross, GA, Cindy Zirkle of Lakeland, GA, Angie Lee of P
Pearson; sister, Annie Mae Harrell of Millwood, GA; 13 step grandchildren and s
several nieces and nephews.
 Funeral services for Mr. Gilbert were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2011 
at Harvest Time Church of God in Homerville, GA with Rev. Don Dixon and Rev. 
Melvin Burch officiating. Special music selection were “Look What I Traded” and 
and “Go Rest High On That Mountain” by CD and “I Won’t Have To Worry Anymore”
rendered by Wanda 
rendered by Wanda Rankhorn with CD accompaniment. The interment followed in Mt. P
Pleasant Cemetery in Pearson, GA with full Military Honors rendered by a US A
Army Honor Guard Contingent from Ft. Stewart, GA.
 Serving as active pallbearers were James Adams, Ben Johnston, Wilson Prescott, 
Billy Lee, John Westberry, Robert Lee.
 Honorary pallbearers were J.B. Roundtree, Robert Lee Gilbert, Wesley R
Roundtree, Ernest Taylor.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
