Atkinson County Citizen - November 3, 2005
 Calvin Deshon Griner, age 9, of Pearson, GA passed away Tuesday, October 25, 
2005 at his home following an extended illness.

 Calvin was born July 20, 1996, son of Angela Griner. He was a third grade 
student at Pearson Elementary School and attended Elbethel Church.

 Survivors include his mother, Angela Griner of Pearson, GA; brother, Jason 
Griner of Pearson, GA, maternal grandmother, Willie Griner of Pearson, GA, 
maternal grandfather, Leonard Varnedore of Manor, GA and 2 uncles, Rick Griner 
and Cyrus White.

 Memorial services for Calvin were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 
Elbethel Church in Pearson, GA with Rev. Curtis Corbitt officiating. Special 
musical selections included "Serenaded By Angels" rendered by Nora Little with 
taped accompaniment, "What A Day That Will Be" rendered by Curtis Corbitt and 
Willie Griner with Catherine Tanner accompanying at the piano and "Kneel At The 
Cross" rendered by the congregation with Catherine Tanner accompanying at the 
piano. Soft music for the prelude and postlude was provided by Catherine 
Tanner, pianist.

 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of arrangements.
