 Mary Ruth Griner-Blanton, 92, of Nashville died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010 at 
Berrien County Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at 
Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating. Burial will fo
follow at Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at the fu
funeral home.
 Pallbearers were Jim Underwood, Rusty Griner, Bobby Tuttle, Michael James, K
Keith Purvis, John Stanley.
 Honorary pallbearers were Glenn Hodges, Don Williams, John Thomas Kent, Joe 
Allen Kent, Bill Kent, James Griner, Carlton Hodges, Tate Hodges, Danny Hodges, B
Bobby Gaskins.
 Mrs. Griner-Blanton was born Sept. 11, 1918, in Berrien County to the late C
Clifford Alva Hodges and Perlie Lott. She was a homemaker and was retired with N
Nashville Mills as a quality control clerk. She was a member of Riverside M
Missionary Baptist Church. She was the widow of J.E. Clayton Griner, who died i
in 1979; and Lemmie Austin Blanton, who died in 2002. She was also preceded in d
death by her sons, Jimmy Griner, Jackie Griner and Renna Griner.
 Mrs. Griner-Blanton is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry 
L. “Jocko” and Rhonda Griner of Nashville; two sisters, Sheila Gaskins of 
Willacoochee and Sue Ennes of Atlanta; 11 grandchildren; and 13
great-grandchildren.
 Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
