 Mrs. Christine Corbitt Gurley, age 60 of Douglas, GA passed away Saturday, D
December 22, 2012 at her home following a short illness.
 A native of Pearson, GA, Mrs. Gurley had made her home for the past 30 years 
in the Green Acres Community of Coffee County. She was born September 27, 1952, 
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde, Sr. and Beadie Burch Corbitt. She had formerly 
worked in quality control at Cady Bag Co. and was currently employed at Badcock 
Furniture Store in Douglas, GA. Mrs. Gurley was also a homemaker and Veteran of 
the U.S. Army. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Judy Corbitt, 
Lillian Spikes, Frankie Adams, Helen Corbill and brother, Clyde Corbitt, Jr.
 Survivors include, husband, Elden Gurley of Douglas, GA; son, Joey Gurley and 
wife Amy of Douglas, GA; daughter, Christy Spivey and husband Andrew of 
Douglas, GA; special niece, Regina Corbitt of Hortence, GA; 4 grandchildren, D
Drew Spivey, Braiden Spivey, Conner Gurley and Carmen Gurley; brothers, Rowan C
Corbitt, of Pearson, GA, Jimmy Corbitt of Douglas, GA; several nieces and n
nephews also survive.
 Funeral services for Mrs. Gurley were held on Wednesday, December 26, 20112 at 
2 p.m., at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Gurley officiating. Special 
musical selections included “Amazing Grace” rendered by CD. The interment f
followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Wade Bennett, Albert Garcia, Carlton 
Corbitt, D.J. Gurley, Brad Seymour, Buddy McQuaig.
 Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
