A native of Coffee Co., Mrs. Hailey was born Sept. 9, 1958, daughter of Clinton and Ruth Spivey Whaley. She was a homemaker and a self-employed professional housekeeper. She attended New Harmony Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Hailey was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Clinton Whaley. Survivors include, Mother and step-father, Ruth Whaley and husband, Earl Tedford, husband, Donald Hailey of Pearson, Ga; three sons, William Clinton Hailey of Douglas, GA, Richard Ray Hailey of Pearson, GA, Joshua James Hailey of Pearson, GA; three daughters, Kari Ann Screws and husband, Wesley of Douglas, GA, Shannon Jane Whaley of Pearson, GA, Donna Rae Vickers and husband, Warren of Willacoochee, GA. two brothers, Ronnie Whaley of Picayune, Miss, Timothy Whaley of Pearson, GA, one sister, Helen Jane LeGlue of New Orleans, LA. 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside funeral services and interment for Mrs. Hailey were held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2008 at New Harmony Grove Baptist Church cemetery near Pearson, GA with Rev. Don Harper officiating. A special poem was read by Krystal Snyder. Musical selections included, "Wind Beneath My Wings" rendered by soloist, Sherry Screws, accompanied by tape and "Precious Memories" rendered by soloist Sherry Screws, accompanied by Al Wayne Hulsey on keyboard. Serving as active pallbearers were, Luke Adams, Ricky Whaley, Jose Gomez, Matthew McDonald, Kyle "Rooster" Peach, and Dewayne Hutchinson.
